This Rental Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into by and between the customer (“Renter,” “you,” or “your”) and AVR Books, a business operating under the domain https://rentsellbooks.com (“Rent Sell Books,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), and governs the rental of physical books or textbooks through our website.

By submitting a rental order, you acknowledge and agree to be legally bound by the terms and conditions outlined below.

1. DEFINITIONS

  • “Rented Item” or “Book”: any textbook or physical publication offered for time-limited rental.
  • “Rental Period”: the length of time selected at checkout (30, 60, 90, 120, or 180 days), starting from the shipment date.
  • “Replacement Cost”: the current market value of the Book as determined by AVR Books.

2. TITLE AND OWNERSHIP

All rented Books remain the sole property of Rent Sell Books. You receive a limited, non-transferable right to possess and use the Book for the duration of the Rental Period. No ownership interest is transferred to you.

3. CONDITION OF RENTED ITEMS

You agree to return all rented Books in the same condition as received, allowing for reasonable wear and tear. You shall not:

  • Remove or deface labels or barcodes
  • Write or mark excessively
  • Expose the Book to water, fire, mold, or hazardous materials

Books returned in unacceptable condition may incur damage fees or Replacement Cost charges at AVR Books’ discretion.

4. RETURN REQUIREMENTS

  • Books must be returned by the end of the Rental Period.
  • A 7-day grace period is granted after the due date.
  • Books must be securely packaged and shipped with a valid tracking number.

You are responsible for any lost or delayed return shipments.

5. LATE, DAMAGED, OR LOST ITEMS

Books not returned on time or in acceptable condition will result in:

  • Late fees and/or Replacement Cost charges
  • Suspension of your account and future rental privileges
  • Collection activity for outstanding balances, if applicable

6. PAYMENT AUTHORIZATION

By placing a rental order, you authorize AVR Books to charge your payment method for:

  • Rental fees at the time of order
  • Any late, damage, or replacement fees assessed

All transactions are processed through secure, PCI-compliant gateways.

7. CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS

  • Orders may be canceled before shipment for a full refund.
  • Once shipped, standard refund policies apply as per our Return & Refund Policy.

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

AVR Books shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the rental fee paid by the customer for the affected order.

9. GOVERNING LAW

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction within that state.

10. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

This Rental Agreement represents the entire agreement between you and AVR Books regarding book rentals and supersedes any prior oral or written communications.
