At RentSellBooks.com, we aim to provide a smooth and reliable textbook rental experience. This Return & Refund Policy outlines our procedures regarding rental returns, late fees, damaged items, and refund eligibility.
🔁 Rental Returns
To avoid fees and ensure smooth processing, please follow these return guidelines:
- 📦 Return Deadline: All rented books must be returned by the end of your selected rental period (e.g., 30, 60, 90, 120, or 180 days).
- 📬 How to Return: We provide return instructions and shipping details via email. You are responsible for return shipping unless otherwise stated.
- 🧾 Proof of Shipment: We recommend using tracked shipping and keeping your receipt until your return is confirmed.
🕒 Grace Period
We offer a 7-day grace period after your rental due date. Books returned within this window will not incur late fees. After that, late fees or replacement charges may apply.
❗ Late, Lost, or Non-Returned Books
If books are not returned within the rental period (plus the grace period):
- You will be charged the full replacement cost of the book.
- Access to your account may be restricted until the issue is resolved.
- If a lost book is later recovered and returned in acceptable condition, we may refund the replacement charge minus a processing fee.
🔧 Damaged Books
Books must be returned in usable condition. We allow reasonable wear and light highlighting. However, you may be charged a damage fee or full replacement cost if the book has:
- Torn or missing pages
- Water damage
- Excessive markings or stains
- Burn or mold damage
📌 Tip: Treat your rental like a library book.
💸 Refund Eligibility
We accept refund requests under the following conditions:
- 📅 Cancellation: If you cancel your order before it ships, a full refund will be issued.
- 🚫 Out-of-Stock: If we are unable to fulfill your order due to unavailability, we will notify you and issue a full refund.
- 📭 Incorrect Item Received: If you receive the wrong book, contact us within 7 days. We’ll arrange for a return and reship the correct item or refund your purchase.
⚠️ Note: We do not offer refunds once a rental period has started unless the error was on our part.
